The village essentially consists of two joined settlements, Bergh and Apton, along the NW/SE axis. There is one remaining church that of St Peter & St Paul, in what was Bergh. This is a fine building with 14th Century origins that stands at the highest point of the village overlooking the river Chet that runs along the village southern boundary. |
